Reading Activities

WALT: Put in the first letter of the image.

In this slideshow I have to insert images and put in the first letter of the image.

This is my reading work that I made. I started working on this a few days ago. It helps me learn my letters and their sounds. The focus letters from my book are shared in my slideshow. Each letter has an image and the first letter of what the image starts with.

Cricket Re-Cap!

WALT: Explain and Re-cap what I did during Cricket!

Today I played Cricket with my class. I really enjoyed Cricket because it helped me become fit and it helped me build up a lot more in my confidence for sport since I have never really enjoyed Sport a lot as others have. I think that maybe next week I will be able to improve a lot more in Cricket and I can achieve the goals I want.

  1. How did I feel when playing Cricket?
    1. When playing Cricket I felt excited because I haven’t played Cricket in a while. Cricket made me feel more active and gave me an oppurtunity to bond and create friendships with others.
  2. What did I like about Cricket?
    1. In Cricket I liked how Matua Peter taught me how to hold the bat and how to throw the ball. I liked how I learnt how to play Cricket and that I improved a lot more since last week
  3. What can I improve on?
    1. I think that I can improve on balling because when I threw the ball it didn’t really go where I wanted it to go. That’s why next week when I go back to Cricket I’m gonna try a lot more and I will practice balling a lot more through out the week!

Have you played Cricket before?

How did it go?

Did you enjoy it?

What did you enjoy the most?

Reading Activity!

This is my reading work that I made. I started working on this a few days ago. It helps me learn my letters and their sounds. The focus letters from my book are shared in my powerpoint. Each letter has an image and the first letter of what the image starts with. For example: Melon = M. I started working on this so that it could help me with my learning and my letter sounds.

I focused on some key letter sounds from the book called “Pop, Pop in the Pot”.  I also enjoyed looking for clips about making popcorn.
